Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SettlPay ("SettlPay," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, request early access, or use the SettlPay platform. SettlPay is a software platform; it does not hold, transmit, or take custody of customer funds.
1. Information we collect
When you contact us or request early access: your name, business name, email address, and anything you choose to include in your message.
When the SettlPay platform is used at a point of sale: transaction details (amount, date, terminal and location identifiers), the cardholder name and card brand returned by the acquiring partner, and a mobile phone number provided at the terminal. Identity information used for verification and regulatory screening (such as name, address, and date of birth) is collected and verified through third-party identity-verification providers.
Card data: full card numbers and related sensitive authentication data are encrypted at the terminal by PCI-compliant acquiring infrastructure and never reach SettlPay's systems (point-to-point encryption).
Automatically: standard website/device and usage data (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages viewed) via essential logging.
2. How we use information
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform and website.
- To verify identity and perform fraud, sanctions, and anti-money-laundering screening, through licensed and specialized providers.
- To orchestrate settlement through licensed payment and settlement providers and a regulated conversion partner.
- To communicate with you about early access and service updates.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, including with: licensed payment and settlement providers; identity-verification and fraud/AML screening providers; a regulated conversion partner that acts as the seller of record for settlement; our wallet-infrastructure provider; service providers acting on our behalf; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
4. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and data minimization. Card data is handled within PCI-compliant, point-to-point-encrypted environments outside SettlPay's systems.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and to satisfy legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements (including financial-services recordkeeping), after which it is deleted or de-identified.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, and to appeal a decision. To make a request, contact us at the address below. Certain records must be retained to meet regulatory obligations and may not be deletable on request.
7. Children
SettlPay is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
